Sandro Chinellato was born in 1948 in Mogliano Veneto, Italy. In 1981, after learning the basics of calcography and experimenting with the various techniques, he began engraving actively. He was, in 1984, one of the founding members of the Association of Engravers “Old Theatre, Perinciso” in Congeliano. In 2012 Sandro took calcographic printing courses at the State Institute of Art “Bruno Munari” in Vittorio Veneto. He is part of the Artists’ Association of Treviso and has been a member of the National Association of Italian Engravers.
He has participated in numerous National and International grapchics exhibitions and has has solo shows of grapchics and paintings.
In his works he follows the precise rules established in International concentions that protect the originality of engraving. His works have been published in important specialized art magazines and catalogues.
His works are part of collections in Italy, Japan, USA, Russia, Poland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, France, Argentina, Romania, Ukraine, Lithuania, Serbia, etc.
He lives and works in Congeliano, Italy.
