Colak Vedat was born in Bulgarian region Deliorman in 1966. He finished school in Bulgaria and emigrated to Turkey in 1989. In 1994 he started studying at the Erciyes University , Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting Department. He graduated with a high degree four years later. In 1999 he began working in the same department. In 2003 he became a member of the Instanbul Exlibris Society. He has participated in numerous exhibitions in Turkey and around the world. Vedat is a winner of many prizes, some of which: “The Spirit of Gdansk Architecture”. International Exlibris Competition, Gdansk, Poland– Honorable Mentions (2009), “2014 THE 3 rd GUANGZHOU INTERNATIONAL EXLIBRIS AND MINI-PRINTS BIENNIAL”- CERTIFICATE SELECTED EXLIBRIS (2014), 4th International Ex-libris Competition – Istanbul 2018- Special Prize (2018) and others. He lives and works in Turkey.
